Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, seeks Clinical Effective Sepsis Nurse – Abstractor to analyze and report sepsis performance measures, identifying data sources and ensuring data integrity for CMS and agency reporting.

You will lead quality improvement data projects, maintain registries, and support organization-wide initiatives while overseeing retrospective chart reviews and contributing to patient safety and experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Current California RN license required.
• 3–5 years of clinical RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Quality management or performance improvement experience preferred.
• 3 years of progressive clinical Neurology nursing experience and RN licensure.
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report sepsis performance measures.
• Identify data sources and aggregate data for registries.
• Prepare graphs and tables and ensure data accuracy.
• Submit information to CMS and other agencies as requested.
• Oversee daily management of retrospective chart reviews.
