Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Clinical Effective Sepsis Nurse – Abstractor to analyze and report sepsis performance data. You will identify sources, aggregate data, and prepare reports for CMS and other agencies.

The role serves as a resource for quality data analysis, helps build clinical registries, and supports organization-wide quality improvement projects related to clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three to five years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience in quality management or performance improvement preferred.
• Current California RN license; ACLS and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on key sepsis performance measures using data sources.
• Aggregate, manipulate, and present data with graphs and tables.
• Ensure data integrity and timely submission to CMS and other agencies.
• Coach and support quality data analysis and maintain clinical registries.
• Oversee retrospective chart reviews as directed by the Director.
• Support organization-wide quality improvement initiatives.
