Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Clinical Effective Sepsis Nurse – Abstractor to analyze and report sepsis performance data from identified sources for CMS and other agencies. You will compile and maintain registries and coach teams on data quality.

The role supports organization-wide quality improvement, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives, including data entry and chart review oversight under the Director.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 3–5 years of clinical RN experience in an acute care setting required.
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) required.
• Previous experience in quality management or performance improvement preferred.
• 3 years of progressive clinical experience in neurological nursing and RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report sepsis performance measures from data sources.
• Prepare graphs and tables; ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Submit information to CMS and other agencies as requested.
• Serve as a resource and coach for quality data analysis and reporting; maintain registries.
• Oversee retrospective chart reviews as identified by the Director.
