Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a Senior SEO Strategist to join a data-driven marketing team. You will conduct hands-on research, execute SEO initiatives, QA changes, and analyze performance to drive improvements in search visibility and site health.

You will audit technical SEO, perform keyword and SERP analysis, craft actionable requirements for engineering and product partners, and build dashboards to track impact and share insights.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical SEO audits and ongoing site health reviews to identify issues and opportunities.
• Review and QA engineering and product updates before and after launch to assess SEO impact.
• Evaluate requirements, designs, and implementations and provide clear SEO recommendations.
• Perform keyword research, search intent analysis, and competitor/SERP analysis.
• Recommend on-page improvements, including titles, headings, metadata, internal linking, and content structure.
• Analyze crawlability and indexation to support strong search engine performance.
• Monitor Googlebot crawling and indexing patterns and flag meaningful trends.
• Identify traffic, ranking, and content opportunities across existing and new experiences.
• Assess new page types, templates, and site experiences for SEO considerations.
• Support backlink and off-site SEO research as needed.
• Track post-launch performance, build recurring reports and dashboards, and share actionable insights.
• Contribute to SEO experiments and measure outcomes to inform future work.
• Stay current on search engine updates, SERP changes, and evolving SEO best practices.
