Job summary

Tombras seeks an SEO Strategist to drive client SEO initiatives, performing keyword research, site audits, and platform updates with guidance as needed. You will apply best practices using leading SEO tools and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.

You'll walk through deliverables, discuss insights, and participate in regular reporting and status calls, while collaborating with peers on opportunities and growth in a fast-paced agency setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years SEO experience.
• Hands-on use of SEO tools (GA, GSC, SEMrush, Screaming Frog).
• Ability to execute plans with minimal supervision.
• Strong content and technical SEO skills (crawls, audits, schema).
• Familiarity with local SEO services and platforms (GBP, MozLocal, Yext).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic SEO tasks: keyword research, platform updates, listings maintenance, site audits.
• Walk through client deliverables, explain methodology, results, insights, action items.
• Manage regular reporting and insight calls with supervisor.
• Contribute on status calls, update status items, suggest opportunities.
• Engage in internal team communications and knowledge sharing.

Where you'll be working: Atlanta, GA, Portland, OR or Knoxville, TN

What you'll be doing:

• Performing basic SEO assistance tasks such as keyword research, platform updates, listings maintenance, and site audits with little supervision.
• Walk through assigned client deliverables, explaining methodology, results, insights, action items, and next steps, with assistance from your supervisor.
• Manage regular reporting and insight calls, working with your supervisor to layer in insights and recommendations.
• Contributing regularly on status calls with updates to status items, walking through deliverables you've completed, and offering productive suggestions for additional opportunities.
• Contributing regularly to internal team communication areas such as email, slack, and team learns; both learning from and teaching others as part of our collective educational environment.

What you bring:

• 1-2 years SEO experience
• In-platform experience in SEO softwares such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Brightedge, Conductor, Reputation, Google Ads, SEMrush, ScreamingFrog SEO Spider, Moz, etc.
• The ability to execute on a plan with minimal supervision, flagging questions and reporting back with updates, working toward a completed product.
• Proven content and technical SEO skills including site crawls and audits, schema markup, keyword research, competitive analysis, keyword gap analysis, etc.
• Familiarity with local SEO services and software platforms such as GBP (formerly GMB), MozLocal, Yext, Reputation, BrightLocal, etc.
