SEO Specialist

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a talented and energetic teammate experienced in SEO, content marketing, and AI-assisted optimization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who will execute sound SEO strategies to drive traffic, grow brand awareness, inspire prospective students, and generate valuable leads for some of our largest and most prestigious partners. As part of our Launch Pod, this person will take on a high partner load and manage multiple program launches from start to finish, ensuring each launch is optimized for search performance from day one. They are a self-starter who is analytical, innovative, and adaptable, using AI tools and automation where possible to improve efficiency and scale results. As a future leader and subject matter expert in SEO, they will play a significant role in helping the team meet and exceed company benchmarks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to drive valuable traffic, leveraging both traditional methods and AI-driven insights.
  • Audit, recommend, and implement technical SEO optimizations.
  • Execute on-page optimizations and content updates in various content management systems (CMS).
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute SEO strategy for program launches as part of the Launch Pod, ensuring all pre-launch and post-launch deliverables are met.
  • Create reports and briefs highlighting key learnings, trends, and future strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing strategists, web developers, and content writers on web structure, testing, and content strategies.
  • Manage link-building campaigns and link acquisition processes through outreach, prospecting, and relationship building.
  • Publish and optimize website content using SEO best practices.
  • Develop and maintain content calendars, knowledge bases, processes, best practices, and onboarding materials.
  • Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and AI advancements in search.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools into workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience in SEO and/or content marketing.
  • Preferred 1+ years working in AI, AI-driven SEO, or AI-assisted content optimization.
  • Meaningful experience executing onsite technical SEO.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven SEO tools and approaches.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Assertive self-starter with data-driven, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills a plus.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Paid search experience is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS/EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM THE JOB which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with SEO tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Majestic, etc.
  • Google Analytics 4 and other relevant SEO certifications are a plus.

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000.
