SEO MANAGER

The Role:

The SEO team is looking for a contract part-time SEO Manager to help drive organic performance. You will be a data-driven problem solver with a growth mindset, willing to stretch your comfort levels, evolve best practices within SEO and content marketing, and move quickly with attention to detail.

Working in close partnership with team members across the content, web, paid search, lifecycle marketing, engineering, and product management teams, you will help drive SEO strategy, key initiatives, and the roadmap for organic search growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and help to optimize SEO strategies by implementing key tactics, including on-page optimizations, technical SEO reviews and improvements, and internal linking to drive organic growth.
  • Continually update and refine existing web pages to enhance search performance, ensuring they align with evolving SEO best practices and algorithm updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, backed by data and forecasts.
  • Balance several initiatives efficiently and in parallel, and shift priorities as needed.
  • Continuously identify new SEO growth opportunities by analyzing existing content architecture, keyword constructs, and data/traffic metrics.
  • Keep up with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and the competitive landscape.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on SEO experience.
  • A strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking methods, and various pillars of SEO (Technical, On-Page, Off-Page)
  • A successful person in this role will have superior communication skills, search-intent focus, and proven SEO experience.
  • You are a creative, results-oriented, and analytical problem solver who is passionate about SEO and focused on driving growth for the business.
  • You are comfortable using data to identify and analyze areas for improvements. Excellent at both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience developing and executing content strategy.
  • Familiarity with popular SEO industry tools and resources including GA4, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, semRush, and Ahrefs to glean valuable insights and findings from data.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to an always evolving organization and search industry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duration: ASAP to start, to run for 6 months, with chance to extend.

Daily Schedule: M-F, part-time 20 hours a week, no OT anticipated.

Location: Team sits in Santa Monica, CA. Role is remote.
