Straight North is seeking an experienced SEO Copywriter to craft content across a wide range of topics for hundreds of client websites, while preserving each brand voice and messaging. This hybrid role is based in Downers Grove, IL, with one in-office day per week.

You will collaborate with internal teams, conduct product research, apply SEO copywriting best practices, edit for accuracy, and leverage AI tools to boost efficiency and output quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 3+ years experience as a Website Copywriter in an agency role.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience with SEO copywriting and understanding of SEO best practices.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of web copy samples.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Hard-working, self-directed, and able to work independently.

The selected candidate will create content that covers an extensive range of subject matter for clients’ websites. Straight North has hundreds of clients, so interest in a wide variety of topics will be a great asset. This is a flexible remote/office position in our Downers Grove, IL office requiring one day in the office per week.
