Job summary

Hutton Digital is seeking a detail-oriented SEO Associate to support client SEO programs and our City Sites network. The role focuses on executing technical and on-page SEO, content publishing, and GEO optimization across multiple sites.

This hands-on position requires foundational SEO experience, WordPress proficiency, and familiarity with GA4 and GSC. You will split time between two teams and report to two managers.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO fundamentals and GEO/AI concepts.
• WordPress proficiency including page/post management, plugin configuration, menus, and basic troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with GA4 and Google Search Console
• Familiarity with redirects, internal linking strategy, and site structure best practices.
• Experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar SEO platforms.
• Strong writing skills for creating or editing content to improve search performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical SEO audits and remediation (site speed, crawlability, indexation, structured data).
• Work within WordPress to implement technical fixes, redirects, and maintain site structure.
• Publish new content following SEO and GEO best practices to improve visibility.
• Conduct on-page optimization (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, keywords).
• Monitor keyword rankings and organic traffic using GA4, GSC, and other tools.
• Identify performance issues and implement fixes to improve client outcomes.
• Manage local event listings and content calendars across City Sites network.
• Monitor site performance, uptime, and search metrics; flag and resolve issues.
