Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks an experienced Logistics/Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel program. You will apply MBSE to equipment architecture, conduct sustainment analyses, and lead logistics efforts across design, manufacture, test, and field operations.

Collaboration with engineering, management, and customers is essential. Responsibilities include defining maintenance requirements, parts and tools, and coordinating data exchanges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and SAP approval within a reasonable period.
• 5 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets for electrical / mechanical components and systems.
• 5 years of experience defining scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, determining spares/tools/calibration and manpower, and developing repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management in development of Support Equipment for mission operational system on the Sentinel program to apply concepts and practices to Support Equipment.
• Analysis and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for Support Equipment Architecture development.
• Perform analyses at all levels of product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Develop Systems Engineering Technical Review entry/exit criteria and coordinate with systems engineering, design, and test teams to ensure the technical adequacy of artifacts.
• Provide consulting support to Chief Engineer on Support & Training requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with technical needs of the Sentinel program milestones.
• Perform Logistics Product Support Analyses to define parts, equipment, skills, and activities required for system sustainment and operational availability.
• Conduct trade studies and develop sustainment strategies that minimize logistics footprint while meeting performance requirements.
• Lead Logistics Support Analyses for the Sentinel program.
• Collect, track, and analyze usage rates, maintenance trends, inventory levels, and reliability data to inform sustainment decisions.
• Identify maintenance issues, recommend process improvements, and define maintenance objectives and requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to exchange data, define calibration needs, and support field support requirements.
• Prepare and present technical information, analyses, and recommendations in internal and customer meetings.
• Manage repair reporting, supplier liaison, and outcomes.
• Contribute to proposal development and cost estimating for logistics support.
• Ensure compliance with applicable military logistics standards and documentation (e.g., MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-502).

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience; or master’s degree with 10 years of experience; or PhD with 8 years of experience.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• 5 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets for electrical / mechanical components and systems.
• 5 years of experience defining scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, determining associated spares, tools, calibration, and manpower, and developing repair processes. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Familiarity with Mil-STD-1388 type work products.
• Experience developing logistics work products on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
• Knowledge of Integrated Product Support analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-502, or TA-STD-0017.
• Proficiency with logistics product database tools such as EAGLE, SLICWave, PowerLogJ, or comparable software.

Work Schedule

Standard schedule is 9/80. Employees work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off.

Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,800.00 – $172,200.00. Employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and for higher‑level positions long‑term incentives. Additional benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
