Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Manager Software Engineering 2 to lead a team of system software engineers on the Sentinel program. The role combines functional management with hands-on software development in C++ and Python within an Agile environment.

You will mentor staff, coordinate staffing, handle recruitment, ensure compliance and Do-178/SAE standards awareness, and work toward milestones with CI tool chains. A U.S. government Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years related experience, or master’s with 6, or 4 additional years of experience substituted.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP.
• Experience with Agile principles (Kanban, Scrum).
• Experience in software development using C++, Python.
• Experience with MBSE and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software/system applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on embedded systems for safety-critical software.
• Work in an Agile team to meet milestones and standards.
• Ensure software standards and compliance criteria are met.
• Operate in a CI tool chain to meet technical and compliance needs.
