Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Receiving Inspection and Calibration Manager 1/2 to join our Mission Assurance team. This position will be located in Roy, UT or Ogden, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
What you will get to do:
This Mission Assurance Receiving Inspection and Calibration Manager 1/2 will be responsible for managing the Receiving Inspection and Calibration Service site functions. This leader will execute, monitor, and report on the health and quality of products and services provided by the team. The qualified candidate must have demonstrated success leading teams, unwavering ethics and values, strong communication skills, and be effective in working across functional teams.
Receiving Inspection:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the inspectors and technicians
Help inspectors resolve issues that arise during the inspection of products
Monitor data and develop metrics relating to work center performance
Properly coordinate resource allocation to ensure Program needs are met
Manage inspector clearance requirements based on assignments
Maintain oversight for review and approval of applicable procedures and process specifications
Ensure throughput of Quality Assurance team is maximized without sacrificing reliability
Work with functional management to ensure budgets are appropriately established and maintained
Encourage and support Quality Assurance team in review of inspection processes
Drive process improvement ideas to implementation phase
Ensure team has the necessary Standard Practice training and OJT to perform their job functions efficiently
Lead inspection efforts in real-time alongside employees to minimize cycle time
Actively support inspection efforts to clear backlogs
Ensure quality database(s) is updated and maintained to track inspection efforts
Monitor non-conformance data to ensure defect containment and drive RCCA
Calibration:
Actively support internal calibrations and adjustments on IM&TE to calibration standards
Ensure quality database(s) is updated and maintained to track inspection efforts
Ensure the metrology management system remains compliant to industry standards
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
This position may be filled at a Receiving Inspection and Calibration Manager 1 or 2 level.
Receiving Inspection and Calibration Manager 1:
AA Degree or 4 additional years of experience and 5 years minimum experience
At least one year experience leading projects or cross-functional teams
3 years of experience as a member of a Quality Assurance team or supervising a technical job function
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Receiving Inspection and Calibration Manager 2:
Bachelors or 4 additional years of experience & 6 years' experience; 4 years with a Masters
At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
3 years of experience as a member of a Quality Assurance team or supervising a technical job function
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Working knowledge of SAP
Working knowledge of TEAMMS
Working knowledge of CPLM
Knowledge in how to read electrical schematics and wire lists
Knowledge base in Lean Manufacturing Principles and/or Six Sigma Principles
Previous experience managing budgets and personnel allocation
Able to read and inspect to engineering documentation
Salary Range: $99,400 - $149,000
Salary Range 2: $119,300 - $178,900
