0090 CORP-Corporate Office is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Systems Engineer for roles in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL. This position requires 5+ years of engineering experience and the ability to obtain and hold a DoD Secret Clearance.

Position Summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Engineer. The role will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL in the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) Segment as part of the Software & System Integration (SSI) Weapon System Integration (WSI) team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership principles – integrity, respect, organization, communication, etc.
• Proficient in the development of key systems engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents.
• Ensure appropriate coordination between SEIT and other integration teams.
• Participate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Principal Systems Engineer (Level 3): 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD.
• Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Level 4): 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance and investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances.
• Minimum 2 years working experience on ICBMs.
• Minimum 2 years Systems Engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of DOORS or related experience.
• Direct development experience of interface products (IRS, IDD, ICD) and requirement specifications.
• Experience creating and executing to schedule & technical recovery plans.
• Experience working across program organizations to find solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Past or active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems.
• Experience contributing toward various phases of a program lifecycle.
• Experience contributing toward various phases of the Systems Engineering "V" lifecycle.
• Experience with developing architectural diagrams.
• Earned Value Management experience.
• Risk Management experience.

Salary Range

Primary Level: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00.
Secondary Level: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00.

Work Schedule

9/80 schedule (nine-hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).
