Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Principal/Sr Principal Network Architect in Roy, Utah, to join the Sentinel program. You will work under the Lead Network Architect on network systems integration and governance, producing system-level network architectures and documentation.

The role requires a US citizen with a Secret clearance and MBSE experience, along with strong collaboration across multiple teams to meet DoD requirements.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen with active Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP approval.
  • Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years (or 3+ years with a Master, or 1 year with a PhD) of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years using MBSE tools (SysML/UML) in Cameo or Rhapsody.
  • 1+ years designing or deploying complex network infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor under a senior architect on networking systems architecture synthesis.
  • Use MBSE to design, test, and verify network capabilities.
  • Drive governance for logical/physical network architecture and tool standards.
  • Coordinate MBSE governance with other teams and translate requirements into deliverables.
  • Develop network documentation and reference artifacts; support program reviews.

This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.This role may offer a competitive relocation package.What You'll Get To Do:This candidate will join the Weapon System Integration (WSI) team under Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT), working on Network Systems Integration (NSI). Under the guidance of the Lead Network Architect, the selected candidate will support the NSI team, which works to develop program-wide networking governance and standards, develop and/or synthesize network artifacts at the system level (including cross-segment network interfaces, program network architecture, and network documentation), perform program-wide gap assessments for network development, develop handling plans for any identified issues, and provide networking subject matter expertise to areas such as Major Program Event (MPE) reviews, modeling (architecture, simulation, analysis....), and requirements. NSI team purview includes the deliverable network architecture, incremental/test configs (lab networks), & ITF/MIF/VSFB test networks.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Mentor under a senior-level architect on networking systems architecture synthesis and system-level developmentUse Model-Based Systems Engineering practices to design, test, and verify network capabilitiesDrive logical/physical network architecture governance, tool standardization, and system-level network architecture developmentCoordinate with other (SDV and BU) MBSE governance and network developer teamsInfluence network requirements and interfaces;
