Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to lead systems-of-systems integration for the Sentinel program. You will drive engineering processes, analyze gaps, and coordinate with SEIT and other interface teams to meet contract objectives.

Applicants should have 8+ years of engineering experience, DoD Secret Clearance, and hands-on DOORS/IRS/ICD/IDD artifact development, with strong leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with systems engineering processes and lifecycle.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance within last 6 years.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Integration activities in support of systems-of-systems integration, including test planning and issue reporting.
  • Coordinate between SEIT and other systems interface teams.
  • Develop key system engineering artifacts such as requirements specifications and interface definition documents.
  • Participate in technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses.
  • Perform trades studies and analyses to resolve gaps or disconnects.
  • Demonstrate leadership principles and work with minimal supervision.

This multi-tiered and multi-disciplined team assesses external interfaces and mission scenario operational threads across the Weapon System (WS). The team serves as system integrators to facilitate systems of systems interoperability and joint systems integration in partnership with customer counterparts and other key stakeholders across the enterprise.This position is be located Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.This role may offer a competitive relocation package.What you’ll get to do:The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment. Candidates for this position must be able to understand the intent of WS integration at the highest levels and drive engineering processes & analyses to prove successful design integration and analyze for potential gaps.
