Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Staff Systems Engineer (level 5) to join the Roy, UT-based Sentinel program team. You will support system verification, test planning, and operations for AVE integration, coordinating with I&T and systems teams across the lifecycle.

The role requires DoD clearance, strong experience in verification/test, and collaboration across disciplines. Eligible relocation assistance is noted with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years of experience, or master’s with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, current and within scope, and investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period.
  • 5 years of experience as an independent contributor, able to determine scope of work without discrete deliverables.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational collaboration.
  • 3 years of back-end systems engineering experience (verification planning, execution, and system sell-off) and/or test planning and execution.
  • 3 years of experience on the verification, test, or integration of large complex systems.
  • 3 years of experience using DOORS and/or MBSE software such as CAMEO and MagicDraw.
  • 3 years of experience with risk and opportunity development and management within a commercial or aerospace program environment.

Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Horizontal Integration and Test Liaison Staff Systems Engineer (level 5) to join the team located in Roy, UT in support of the Sentinel program. The role supports system verification, test planning, and operations for the integration of the AVE.

  • Test bed planning and execution experience.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software requirements testability, definition, block diagrams, interconnect diagrams, and software & hardware integration.
  • Competence with risk management tools and processes.

Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 – $229,300.00. The range is a general guideline; base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives as applicable.

Work Schedule

Standard work schedule is 9/80, allowing employees to work nine hours Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off.
