Job summary

IFF is seeking a passionate Sensory Scientist for its Taste division in New Jersey, with on-site work at South Brunswick or Union Beach. You will manage sensory panels, coordinate studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insightful sensory results.

The role requires 1–3 years in a lab setting, proficiency in sensory methods, and experience with EyeQuestion or Compusense. Occasional travel between NJ sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline.
• 1–3 years in a lab environment; sensory lab preferred.
• Knowledge of sensory evaluation methodologies.
• Experience with sensory data collection platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead descriptive sensory and consumer panels, including recruitment and scheduling.
• Plan and oversee sensory panel activities across multiple projects.
• Lead descriptive sensory evaluations according to quality standards.
• Collaborate with Creation & Design (C&D) teams and PX Researchers.
• Verify product readiness and testing protocols.
• Analyze sensory data, generate reports, and maintain docs.
• Coordinate consumer studies with vendors and stakeholders.
• Maintain sensory databases and SOPs; support improvements.
• Coach and coordinate Panel Assistant activities.
