Job summary

Radiometer, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Sensor Scientist, R&D to advance complex sensor and membrane designs in support of product development. This on-site role based in New Brighton, MN focuses on analysis, testing, and evaluation of sensor systems within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have 2+ years in Medical Device/IVD and an advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields, with strong problem-solving abilities and experience in

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Medical Device or IVD industry.
• Experience with statistical analysis software (JMP/Minitab) is vital.
• Experience in biomedical or blood gas sensor design and development during R&D.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to turn plans into action.
• Advanced degree as listed, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a key participant of an interdisciplinary R&D team to develop novel sensor and membrane designs to support product development and innovation efforts.
• Provide analysis, testing, and evaluation of complex sensor and system designs, sensor manufacturing processes and techniques, and patentable concepts.
• Mentor and coach junior-level scientists.
• Provide robust design of experiments, interpretation, and presentation of data by creating clear and concise summary reports.
• Execute verification and validation of sensor constructions and provide technical expertise to support manufacturing.
