Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking a Sensor Development Engineer to drive speed and position sensing products from concept through production launch.

You will serve as the technical lead for assigned programs, translating customer requirements into robust sensing solutions by integrating magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes, while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to meet performance,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with VR, Hall-effect, MR sensors
• Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles
• Familiarity with automotive product development processes such as APQP, DFMEA, and PPAP

Responsibilities

• Lead development of speed and position sensing products from concept through production launch, translating customer requirements into robust sensing solutions through the integration of magnetic design, sensor electronics, materials, mechanical packaging, validation, and manufacturing processes. Collaborates with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet performance, quality, timing, and business objectives

Requirements:

• Hands on experience with one or more of the following sensing technologies:
  • Variable Reluctance (VR) sensors
  • Hall-effect sensors
  • Mangetoresistive (MR) sensors
  • Rotary position sensors
  • Linear position sensor
• Understanding of electromagnetic and magnetic circuit design principles.
• This is not a designer role. The individual will be responsible for the product from concept through production launch.
• Must know automotive product development processes.
  • APQP/DFMEA/PPAP etc.
