Sensor Deployment Field Technician for Smart Buildings

Job summary

MKThink is looking for sensor deployment specialists to help with project-based deployments and site visits across Hawaii. You'll install and configure various sensors, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and log key data for documentation.

This role requires reliability and attention to detail, ideally with a background in environmental monitoring and smart building technology. Reimbursable expenses and per diem will be provided during qualifying engagements.

Qualifications

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor deployment conditions.
• Interested in sensors, buildings, and environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Install, mount, label, and document sensors and gateways.
• Troubleshoot WiFi, connectivity, and data sync issues.
• Capture room dimensions using laser measurement or LiDAR.

Skills

Sensor deployment or field installation experience

WiFi/network troubleshooting

Familiarity with IAQ, occupancy, weather, IoT

Experience with LiDAR and floorplan documentation
