Job summary

RTX is seeking an engineering intern to join the Advanced Measurements Research and Development group at the Middletown, CT facility.

You will work on challenging projects related to measurement techniques for gas turbine engines and contribute to diagnostics and verification activities.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous engineering intern experience at an aerospace company.
  • Experience with testing, manufacturing, and technical group projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need. May be required to obtain a security clearance.
  • The Development Operations Organization is seeking a highly motivated engineering student to join the Advanced Measurements Research and Development group as a summer intern at the Middletown, Connecticut facility.
  • This position provides challenging assignments that support the development of new measurement techniques and diagnostic capabilities used to verify the structural integrity of gas turbine engines.
  • Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include instrumentation installations, sensor application development, hardware review, engine assembly assistance, bench testing, CAD Tool development, and/or report/process generation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
