Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Senior IT Engineer to be the primary technical contact as teams migrate to Zendesk across the organization. You will bridge infrastructure (Okta, JAMF, Google Workspace) with seamless service delivery and lead onboarding to scale automation while maintaining healthcare data security.

Based in Tempe, AZ with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in office, you will architect the Zendesk stack for a multi-brand environment and drive automation, integrations with Slack and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of Zendesk Administration/architecture experience.
• IAM integration experience with Okta or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead discovery sessions and drive projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional discovery sessions to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Architect and manage the Zendesk stack across a multi-brand environment.
• Design automated onboarding and provisioning workflows; integrate Zendesk with ETM platforms.
• Develop complex automation using Zendesk triggers and third-party middleware.
• Build bidirectional integrations between Zendesk and core enterprise tools (Slack, Okta, Google Workspace).
• Ensure platform security and compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and SOX.
• Mentor and escalate technical issues as the senior engineer and maintain documentation.
