Broadcom is seeking a Senior z/OS Systems Programmer to install, maintain, and upgrade IBM Mainframe software for a government agency project. The role emphasizes remote/office-based client-facing support and requires handling off-hours maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of z/OS experience, familiarity with SMP/e and z/OSMF, and holds or is eligible for a Secret security clearance. Certifications like A+ or Security+ are valued plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer installing and maintaining software.
• Experience with SMP/e and z/OSMF for product installations.
• Familiarity with Broadcom Mainframe Software such as CA Endevor, CA Librarian, CA Datacom or CA Gen.
• DOD 8570 or 8140 computing environment certification such as CompTIA A+ is a mandated requirement for this position.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus.
• Active Security Clearance level of Secret is a mandated requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain z/OS software and Broadcom mainframe products.
• Provide technical guidance for product installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Support off-hours maintenance to implement changes.
• Coordinate change control using ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
• Mentor government employees and junior technicians on mainframe technologies.
