Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services in Bremerton, WA is hiring a Behavioral Health Tech II (Advanced) for the Youth Inpatient Unit. This full-time, on-site role supports treatment activities, assists with admissions, and helps youth engage in individualized therapeutic programming.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with 4+ years’ experience, CPR certification, and a Washington Food Handler card.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, behavioral health or Education.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate approved treatment groups independently.
• Work directly with clients on therapeutic activities.
• Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of client mental status.
• Assist with admissions and orientation to services.
• Assist in de-escalation and crisis situations.
• Provide a therapeutic presence within the treatment milieu.
• Meet client daily health, safety, and unit needs.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Conduct unit safety checks.
• Monitor clients according to observation levels.
• Provide transportation as directed by a supervisor.
• Maintain clean work environment and inventories.
• Complete charting and records per procedures.
• Attend trainings and maintain required certifications.
