Qualifications

• Ph.D. in child development or related field with 7+ years of research leadership experience.
• Master's degree with 11+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years of project leadership, including proposal writing and staff supervision.
• National reputation in youth development and strong field connections.
• Experience winning federal/state/local contracts or grants.
• Familiarity with federal/state procurement opportunities.
• Experience mentoring teams on large/complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership and grow eminence in youth development.
• Develop marketing and business plans to expand AIR's youth development work.
• Support interdisciplinary approach across related fields like mental health and juvenile justice.
• Lead and write proposals for grants or contracts with federal, state, local agencies and foundations.
• Manage projects as PI/PD, design approaches, lead teams, monitor budgets and client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and share best practices in research and TA.
• Maintain relationships with funders and clients and grow AIR's portfolio.
