Job summary

Intel Corporation in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Yield Analysis engineer to drive yield and defect improvements across advanced packaging technologies. You will set priorities, synthesize large data sets, and partner with Process Engineering, Integration, QNR, and Product/Test Development teams to deliver measurable results.

The role emphasizes statistical methods, data mining, and inline metrology knowledge, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or PhD with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis through JMP, Python, or other data engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Extract insights from structured and unstructured data by synthesizing large data volumes and applying statistical methods and machine learning.
• Develop solutions using manufacturing process knowledge, statistics, and problem-solving tools.
• Independently drive recommendations and influence the yield improvement roadmap.
• Understand relationships between electrical and physical fails including FIFA, DFT, Sort/Test, Integration/Process Flow, Datamining, Databases, Data manipulation, and Data visualization.
• Know inline defect metrology and related detection capabilities in the factory.
• Prepare detailed reports on yield and device health; determine actions to achieve best-in-class yields.
