Job summary

RB Global seeks a Senior Yard Staff to safely receive, merchandise, and manage inventory at RB Global yards and government locations. You will operate heavy and light equipment, perform repairs, and ensure high standards of customer service and safety.

Based in Abilene, KS, this role requires lifting up to 80 pounds, occasional travel up to 10%, and flexibility to work at various sites as part of a dynamic, full-time team supporting multi-million dollar auctions.

It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.

Job Description

The Senior Yard Staff safely receives, merchandises, uses inventory accountability practices, operates MHE, and facilitates check-out of items. They utilize a heavy mechanical aptitude to complete repairs and maintenance on items. They may perform their duties at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or Government Locations. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff.

Responsibilities

• May act as a lead or coordinate assigned activities.
• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) inventory
• Performs joint physical inventories at government locations
• Uses systems to track and process inventory
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs maintenance and heavy repairs on equipment
• Merchandises and inspects items for sale.
• Boosts equipment
• Performs complex demilitarization and deidentification
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Assist in coordinating logistics
• Interacts with customers
• Travels to other locations as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
