Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers for XR framework work in Kirkland, WA and surrounding areas. The role involves architecting XR components, delivering scalable software, and collaborating with BSP, Silicon, Product, and OEM teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to the next major leap in AI and XR as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C++.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• Experience with consumer product development and Android Platform/OS/Internals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, guide, and vet XR framework designs and write product or framework development code.
• Write robust, reliable software designed to run from bare-metal to cloud.
• Communicate, design, and implement decisions through architecture/design docs and code.
• Mentor and train team members on architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Review code and contribute to efficiency and productivity of the engineering team.
