Job summary

Google XR Hardware is seeking a Technical Program Manager Lead to own end-to-end supplier management for next-generation XR modules and components. You will drive AVAP governance, partner with ODMs and contract manufacturers, and lead programs across global supply chains.

You will shape procurement strategies, negotiate high-impact supplier agreements, and ensure alignment between hardware engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related fields.
• 8 years of experience in hardware supply chain management, GSM, TPM, partner management, or procurement in electronics.
• Experience with Asian ODMs, Tier-1 component vendors, and CM across NPI to mass production.
• Experience managing component categories such as Displays/Optics, Cameras, SoC/Silicon, Memory/Storage, Batteries, Acoustics, or modules.

Responsibilities

• Categorize BOM to establish procurement rules between Google-managed AVAP and ODM components.
• Manage supplier relationships for high-risk, custom-developed Google modules, optics, and semiconductors.
• Partner with engineers and vendors to influence roadmaps, establish second-sourcing, and mitigate single-source risks.
• Design and execute buy-sell models, inventory replenishment, and demand forecasting for short product lifecycles with long lead times.
• Oversee international logistics, trade compliance, tariff mitigation, and cost negotiations to optimize total cost of ownership.
