Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Rad Tech Supervisor (X-Ray) for the Diagnostic Radiology department (Weekday Nights). You'll supervise daily operations, ensure ALARA compliance, oversee staff education, scheduling, and performance metrics, and partner with the Modality Manager to deliver high quality imaging services.

Required ARRT Certification in Radiography with additional specialty registries (Mammography, CT, MRI, CV/VIR, 3D lab) and a JRC-accredited

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiography required; plus one of the specialty registries related to the department.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology recognized by the ARRT.
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Radiation Science, Business, or closely related field preferred; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision for Diagnostic Radiology area.
• Ensure ALARA and safety guidelines are followed by staff.
• Develop staff education materials and competencies.
• Collaborate with Modality Manager and lead technologists to optimize operations.
