Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist Supervisor to provide day-to-day supervision of an assigned radiology area, ensuring high-quality imaging and strict adherence to ALARA and ACR guidelines. The role collaborates with lead technologists and management to optimize operations and safety.

The supervisor is responsible for staff education, competency development, and ensuring regulatory compliance across diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology recognized by the ARRT.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Radiation Science, Business, or closely related field from an accredited program.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited program.]

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation for assigned Radiology area to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Develop staff education, competency materials, and education for students and residents.
• Collaborate with Radiology leadership to maintain ALARA radiation safety and support high-quality imaging services.
