Job summary

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and CFPB seeks a writer-editor to craft and refine audit, evaluation, inspection, and investigative reports, plus periodic congress materials. You will ensure clarity, logical organization, and top-tier editorial quality while supporting web content and communications.

Minimum education is a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of specialized editing/writing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Three years of specialized experience in technical editing and writing.
• Mastery of grammar, Chicago Manual of Style and plain-language standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist authors with drafting and editing audit, evaluation, inspection, or investigation reports.
• Ensure reports reflect findings clearly and adhere to style standards.
• Edit for plain-language, audience understanding, and data visualization where needed.
• Coordinate input from staff and manage publication workflows.
• Develop internal and external content, including web materials.
