Job summary

Perkins Eastman in New York, NY seeks a Project Architect III for Workplace Interiors. You will lead site surveys, code reviews, BIM modeling, and construction document production across design phases, coordinating with engineers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.

You must have 10+ years of interior workplace experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD. Hybrid work policy applies, with compensation aligned to geography and level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Workplace Interiors experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to research, develop and communicate technical requirements to clients, consultants and the design teams.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam; 3D Max, SketchUp, Adobe Suite a plus.
• NCIDQ or RA accreditation required.
• LEED AP ID+C accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys and document existing conditions to support project planning and design development.
• Conduct architectural code reviews to ensure compliance with building codes and project requirements.
• Prepare work plans for the design and technical teams.
• Act as BIM lead and BIM manager with Revit modeling for project inception.
• Prepare construction documents, technical drawings, and specifications for all design phases.
• Coordinate project documentation with engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of project documents for design intent and constructability.
• Attend construction and coordination meetings; respond to RFIs and issue addenda as required.
• Perform construction administration including site visits, field observations, and site reports.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and material samples for conformance.
• Prepare punch lists and oversee closeout.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
