Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City seeks a Data Domain Architect, Senior Associate, to own the Workforce data domain across headcount, org structures, movements, labor and benefits, and related expense measures. The role blends hands-on Databricks and SQL with strong domain modeling.

You will partner with Tech, Data, Finance and Product teams to define boundaries, standardize definitions and KPIs, establish governance by design, and deliver governed data products with clear ownership and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience in data domain architecture or closely related roles with a track record of delivering governed, reusable data assets as products.
• Strong SQL for complex querying, profiling, reconciliation, and performance-aware design; able to validate transformations and data quality issues independently.
• Proficiency with Databricks in a lakehouse context, including designing curated datasets, Delta/managed tables, and domain modeling patterns for scalable consumption.
• Understanding of financial data structures and hierarchies to model in Databricks and communicate with Finance stakeholders.
• Strong competency in logical and physical data modeling, including dimensional modeling, canonical models, and conformed dimensions.
• Experience implementing governance artifacts and operational controls, including metadata management, lineage, stewardship, auditability, and SLAs.
• Stakeholder management skills to translate business requirements into precise data definitions and align across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the Workforce data domain architecture, including domain boundaries, canonical models, reference data, and conformed dimensions and design logical/physical data models.
• Lead the design and delivery of Workforce data products aligned to medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold), including ingestion patterns and change management expectations.
• Establish and operationalize data governance and controls, including stewardship workflows, metadata standards, lineage capture, and data quality rules to meet SLAs.
• Partner with stakeholders to standardize Workforce definitions and measures and enable governed self-service for dashboards, analytics, and reporting.
