TRISTAR in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an experienced Claims Examiner to manage a large, complex workers’ compensation caseload from inception to conclusion. You will coordinate investigations, determine compensability, set reserves, and oversee medical treatment and billing, while working with defense counsel as needed.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a Texas Workers' Compensation license.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3+ years of related experience or equivalent.
Texas Workers' Compensation License.
Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical details to claimants, clients and staff.

Mansioni

Manages a caseload of 150 workers’ compensation files, including very complex claims.
Initiates investigations and determines compensability and benefits.
Manages medical treatment and medical billing; authorizes as appropriate.
Refers cases to outside defense counsel and directs as appropriate.
Communicates with claimants, providers, and vendors regarding claims issues.
