Job summary

Amerisure is looking for a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster. This position can be Hybrid or Remote, requiring candidates to work in-office 3 days a week if within proximity of an office, and potentially involves business travel.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in managing workers’ compensation claims and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Benefits include competitive pay, health insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan.

Qualifications

• AIC or SLA certification preferred.

Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster (Hybrid/Remote)

Amerisure is recruiting for a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster. The role may be Hybrid or Remote, with a preference for candidates located near office locations. Candidates will work in office 3 days a week (Tue‑Thu) if live near an office; otherwise remote with occasional business travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate with agents, policyholders and internal stakeholders on claims of medium complexity/severity.
• Investigate losses, identify coverage and determine compensability; review and analyze documents and legal pleadings.
• Develop plan of action to proactively conclude claims, evaluate damages in a timely manner, engage other parties in negotiations and settle claims pursuant to guidelines.
• Establish and maintain proper reserves for each claim to accurately reflect the financial exposure.
• Determine need for, identify and engage external resources as needed to execute proper resolutions while monitoring and controlling costs.
• Collaborate with counsel to manage litigated claims.
• Review and interpret commercial insurance policies and communicate coverage issues verbally and in writing.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 10% and travel daily between locations.
