Qualifications

• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation statutes and its application.
• 3+ years of workers’ compensation litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently represent Employer/Carrier before the Judge of Compensation Claims and present witnesses and evidence at hearings.
• Analyze complex legal issues and conduct legal research to develop and present defense strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs supporting defense strategies.
• Provide timely communications and legal advice to clients and claims professionals.
• Use independent judgment, research, litigation and analytical skills.
• Assist in developing training materials for the WC claim department.
• Collaborate with the WC claim department and Law Department on special projects.
