Job summary

Amerisure is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to join our team on a hybrid schedule in one of our offices. You will provide quality investigation and analysis of high complexity/severity claims, collaborate with agents, policyholders and counsel, and establish reserves reflecting financial exposure.

You will manage litigated files with guidance from counsel, determine coverage, and help settle claims within guidelines while building strong relationships across the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 6 years of experience handling workers’ compensation indemnity claims of high complexity/severity.
• AIC or SLCA certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate proactively with agents, policyholders and internal stakeholders on high-complexity/severity claims.
• Investigate losses, identify coverage, determine compensability, and review documents and pleadings.
• Coordinate with counsel to manage litigated claims and develop action plans.
• Establish reserves reflecting financial exposure and manage costs.
• Communicate coverage issues clearly in writing and verbally.
