Job summary

Old Republic Commercial Risk in Tulsa, OK seeks an experienced claims professional to independently investigate, evaluate and resolve highly complex Workers’ Compensation claims in accordance with statutes and company guidelines.

The role requires determining coverage, reserves, potential subrogation, and settlements, while collaborating with PMA nurses on return-to-work strategies and maintaining strong client service across jurisdictions. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent insurance experience required.
• TX claims experience is required.
• License to operate in mandated states required within 90 days.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation regulations and terminology.
• Experience handling claims in AR, OK, CO, and LA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve highly complex Workers' Compensation claims with minimal supervision.
• Determine coverage, compensability, and reserves; negotiate settlements.
• Coordinate with medical providers and PMA nurses on return-to-work plans.
• Maintain jurisdictional compliance and document rationale for reserves and actions.
• Select vendors and manage expenses to balance loss outcomes.
