Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist for our Portland, OR team. The role requires CA licensure to work claims.

You will interpret complex coverages, set reserves and payments, conduct investigations, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with attorneys, physicians and insureds to resolve claims efficiently while monitoring regulatory requirements. This is a contract, hybrid position based in Portland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred.
• Typically a minimum three to five years claims experience.
• CA Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets complex policy coverages and applies them to claims.
• Sets activities, reserves and authorizes payments within authority.
• Coordinates investigations and evaluates claims with insureds, claimants, and others.
• Negotiates settlements and coordinates with subrogation where applicable.
• Maintains data accuracy and prepares reports for management.
