Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a Claims Examiner - Workers Comp to adjudicate complex claims within our energetic, collaborative culture. You’ll analyze high-exposure general liability and workers’ compensation files, guide litigation and subrogation efforts, and ensure timely, cost‑effective resolutions across client programs.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of claims‑management experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience, a HS diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure on the claim.
• Manages the litigation process; ensures timely and cost-effective claims resolution.
• Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.
• Leads team meetings and assigns accountability for follow-up items.
• Gathers important compliance/claims processing information to be presented at team meetings.
