Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Workers' Compensation to analyze complex claims, determine benefits, and oversee adjudication to meet service expectations. The role involves high exposure claims, litigation coordination, and subrogation activities.

A strong background in WC claims and negotiation is required. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of claims management experience, a bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with standard office software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent education/experience required.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles, laws, and cost containment practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims to determine benefits.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and manage reserves.
• Coordinate with litigation and subrogation processes; facilitate investigations and vendor referrals.
• Ensure timely and accurate state filings and record-keeping; maintain client relationships.
