CCMSI in Reno, NV is seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claim Consultant to investigate, adjust, and manage complex claims for municipal accounts, with a focus on Nevada workers’ compensation standards.

The role offers a hybrid schedule after an initial in-office training period, engaging client relationships with a strong emphasis on accuracy, timely decision-making, and quality service across the CCMSI network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Nevada Workers’ Compensation claims management experience.
• NV Adjuster’s license is required.
• Experience handling high-exposure Heart, Lung, Cancer, and Catastrophic workers’ compensation claims for public entities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjust workers’ compensation claims per CCMSI guidelines and supervision.
• Review medical and invoices to determine reasonableness; negotiate disputed bills.
• Authorize and pay claims within authority.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Assist in selection and supervision of defense attorneys.
• Assess and monitor subrogation claims for resolution.
• Prepare reports detailing claims, payments and reserves.
• Provide reports and monitor files for excess insurers.
• Ensure compliance with service commitments.
• Deliver quality claim service to clients.
