Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster III to lead high-exposure, complex indemnity claims with technical expertise and supervisory backup. You will guide clients, carriers, and colleagues, manage catastrophic cases, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including medical management and litigation.

The role supports remote or hybrid work arrangements, with a focus on performance, quality, and client service in a nationwide setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of WC claims experience including at least 5 years of independent indemnity management.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of WC indemnity experience at an independent level; equivalent combination.
• CA SIP certificate required for CA files; active adjuster license in applicable state(s) required; multi-state preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex investigations focusing on high-exposure, catastrophic, and multi-party cases with strategic resolution planning.
• Direct medical management for catastrophic claims, coordinate life care planners and UR/IMEs; ensure cost-effective treatment patterns.
• Lead PD rating, reserving, and settlement strategies for high-exposure files with clear justification and client coordination.
• Direct full litigation processes for the unit’s complex files, select defense counsel, and manage legal spend toward favorable outcomes.
• Negotiate high-value settlements and coordinate multi-lien resolution and recovery efforts.
