Job summary

AvonRisk, the nation’s leading specialty risk manager for self-insured organizations, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster III. You will handle the most complex, high-exposure claims and provide technical guidance to junior staff while coordinating with clients, carriers, and colleagues.

Remote or hybrid work is available based on location. The role requires 7+ years WC claims experience, CA SIP license for CA files, and proven expertise in litigation, reserving, and subrogation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of WC claims experience with 5+ years indemnity management.
• CA SIP certificate required for CA files; multi-state preferred.
• Experience directing complex litigation and high-exposure files.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex investigations and determine compensability on high-exposure losses.
• Direct medical management, RTW coordination, and life-care planning for catastrophic claims.
• Lead PD rating, reserving, and strategic settlement decisions.
• Manage full litigation lifecycle including counsel selection and trial prep.
• Drive subrogation and lien resolution while mentoring junior staff.
