Job summary

MARTA in Atlanta seeks a Workers' Compensation Claims Analyst to investigate, analyze, negotiate, and adjudicate highly complex claims, ensuring timely medical and indemnity payments under Georgia law.

Under general direction, you will prepare written reports, coordinate with claimants, physicians, and the State Board staff, and assist with litigation alongside General Counsel. Subrogation and related duties are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or related field and four years experience in the administration, negotiation, adjudication, and resolution of Workers' Compensation claims.
• Thorough knowledge of Georgia Workers' Compensation laws required.
• Extensive background in processing catastrophic claims.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, analyzes, evaluates, negotiates, and adjudicates workers' compensation claims in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Evaluates findings and prepares written reports to support conclusions and actions.
• Collaborates with claimants, supervisors, physicians, and State Board staff to return employees to work.
• Ensures timely medical and indemnity payments and proper filing of reports.
• Assists General Counsel in resolution of claims in litigation.
• Pursues subrogation and Substantial Injury Trust Fund when applicable.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
