Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Workday Manager to deliver advisory and implementation services within the Technology Transformation Practice. You will engage in full lifecycle Workday projects and help clients achieve their vision with strong leadership and collaboration across teams.

The role requires 4+ full lifecycle Workday implementations, cross‑industry experience, and travel up to 40%. Excellent communication skills and professional Workday certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Information Technology, MIS, or related field required, Master’s degree is a plus
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
• Minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations of Workday
• Knowledge of Workday modules
• Industry recognized professional certification required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, key metrics, and reports
• Experience with application integration & backend data connectivity applications
• Experience installing/configuring/implementing Workday Applications
• Exposure or training on Workday Applications
• Knowledge of Workday Applications
• Proven ability delivering complex and time sensitive projects
• Strong leadership skills, able to conduct meetings and write technically oriented documents
• Able to work with clients to understand current state processes and define future state processes based on business objectives
• Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 40%

Responsibilities

• Assist in full life cycle implementations including planning, design, and build phases
• Document business requirements, system design and transformational goals
• Configure applications and conduct iterative unit testing
• Create training materials and quick reference guides to support user adoption
• Conduct training classes to prepare end users for deployment
• Provide post-production support
• Participate in full life cycle implementations
• Identify business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, testing, training, and support procedures
• Participate in pre-sales activities as needed
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
• Other duties as assigned
