Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a complex Workday implementation initiative through planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and go-live. This role will serve as a key technical and business coordination point across multiple teams and delivery partners, with a target go-live date of July 1, 2027.

The ideal candidate will have strong Workday experience, specifically across Finance and HR, along with proven experience leading implementations, managing executive stakeholders, and coordinating multiple teams in a highly matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex Workday implementation activities from planning through July 1, 2027 go-live.
• Serve as the primary coordination point across business, technology, and external delivery partners.
• Work with stakeholders to identify priorities, determine where to begin, establish project plans, and drive initiatives forward.
• Coordinate multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and meet business and technology requirements.
• Lead project meetings, establish agendas, document action items, and drive timely follow-up with stakeholders.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors/implementation partners to support project execution, ramp-up, testing, readiness, and go-live activities.
• Manage executive-level stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions effectively.
• Coordinate resources across multiple delivery partners while managing approved scope, timelines, and project hours.
• Identify risks, roadblocks, and areas requiring additional focus, and work with stakeholders to develop solutions.
• Ensure business and technology deliverables are completed, reviewed, and approved according to project schedules.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and feedback to project team members in a highly matrixed environment.
• Build strong working relationships across HR, Finance, IT, business leadership, and external implementation partners.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree, where required.
• 5+ years of project management or related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on Workday experience, specifically within Finance and HR.
• Proven experience leading or supporting large-scale implementations.
• Experience managing executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong meeting facilitation, communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple teams, vendors, or delivery partners in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to identify priorities, establish next steps, and drive projects toward key milestones and go-live.

Work Location

This is an onsite role. Candidates who live within 60 miles of the office are expected to work onsite twice per month. Additional onsite expectations may apply based on project needs.
