Job summary

Texas Dow Employees Credit Union is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations using Workday. You will ensure accurate, timely processing, regulatory compliance, and strong data integrity while coordinating with HR, Finance, and Accounting. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and internal controls.

The position requires 7–10+ years of payroll experience, including Workday expertise, and will operate in a hybrid model with three days per week at the Houston HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in progressive payroll roles with multi-jurisdictional exposure.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax rules and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for bi-weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees across jurisdictions.
• Create off-cycle payrolls in Workday for bonuses.
• Review and approve payroll before submission to payroll service provider.
• Lead expansion of payroll processing into new jurisdictions as the company grows.
• Manage Time-Off policies in the payroll system.
• Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Handle supplemental wages calculations and tax reporting.
• Oversee Workday Time and Attendance integration and reporting.
