Job summary

RSM is seeking a senior, hands-on Workday integration engineer to design, build, and troubleshoot API-driven integrations between Workday and enterprise platforms. Workday serves as the system of record while Power Automate and other tools act as orchestration layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required or preferred.
• 4+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience.
• Strong expertise in Workday REST and SOAP APIs, data models, and BP logic.
• Proven ability to construct API requests manually and troubleshoot at the request/response level.
• Solid understanding of XML structures, namespaces, and security patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Workday integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Construct and troubleshoot XML payloads, API responses, and authentication contexts.
• Build integrations with sound engineering principles: deterministic and observable with robust error handling.
• Diagnose integration issues by analyzing requests, responses, and Workday BP configurations.
• Partner with engineering teams to support orchestration via Power Automate and API layers.
• Ensure integrations respect system boundaries and do not override the system of record.
